NERCS FORMULA LIBRA NEW CHAMPIONSHIP RACE Starting September Many of us
like to tune and tinker with our cars, Some of us have cars that are barred
from NERCS that we would like to use in anger, I am therefore proposing a new
championship race – so points will be collected / recorded and the winner
will receive a prize*. The cars
that can be raced is completely open any Saloon, GT, Rally, Muscle car, from
ANY era can be raced – No formula cars (F1, Indy etc) ANY
CLASS is allowed. ANY
MANUFACTURER is allowed. ANY
TUNE UP parts from ANY manufacturer are allowed. You can race
WHAT EVER YOU WANT, However to prevent
everyone just going out and buying the fastest SLOT IT / NSR etc. I don't want people to feel they have to
spend big money or be a top tuner to be competitive. The championship will have 4 classes. The
classes will have different points awarded. class A – A car from
the usual manufactures using only standard parts (though parts can be swapped
for other manufactures standard parts) The usual Cars raced at NERCS. |
Class B – A scratch
build – Resin / plastic kit, with any chassis – but parts from only the
standard cars allowed in other Nercs CLASSES. Class C –
Scratch build as class 2 but with tune up parts, ie, Slot it NSR etc. Class D – NSR /
SLOT IT etc or a standard car from other manufacturese with TUNE Up parts
fitted. All classes will race together – You can race in only 1 class per meeting – but you can race any class or car – you do not need to stay with the same car / class throughout the championship. THE SCORING WILL BE AS FOLLOWS
The classes will be scrutinsed any cheating will see all accrued points deleted. Stewards will be appointed on race nights and stewards decision in correlation with Me will be fianl. Class C is open to review – If these cars turn out to be TO competative they will be placed into Group D. |
